Carlos R . Cotto Clemente
Carlos R. Cotto Clemente (b. 1997) is a Puerto Rican composer, conductor, and trombonist whose music is defined by lyrical, memorable themes and a strong narrative voice, blending symphonic tradition with modern cinematic textures. His work has received recognition in multiple international competitions, including the Beethoven, Debussy, Vivaldi, and Saint-Saëns International Music Competitions, as well as the World Grand Prix Music Contest and NY Music Award, reflecting a growing international presence. A graduate of the Conservatorio de Música de Puerto Rico with further studies in film scoring at the Film Scoring Academy of Europe, he has collaborated with institutions connected to the Symphonic and Philharmonic Orchestras of Puerto Rico and has been actively involved with the Program Música 100×35 as a musician, arranger, and educator. Focused on film, television, and multimedia, his work is melodic, emotionally direct, and dramatically driven, combining orchestral writing with contemporary elements while remaining stylistically flexible to serve the narrative needs of each project.
